Meet Jack

Born and raised a few miles down the road in Tipton and now living in Kokomo, Jack Chance grew up in a working-class family that taught him the value of perseverance and helping your neighbor. His years serving low-income seniors and families in housing showed him just how broken Indiana’s systems are and how much better they could be. Jack is running for State Representative so that everyday Hoosiers have a champion fighting for fairness, dignity, and opportunity. Because A Better Indiana starts with all of us.

Building A Better Indiana

My priorities for our community:

  • Housing

Safe, stable, and affordable homes through the Fair Hoosier Housing Act by protecting renters, supporting good landlords, and strengthening communities.

  • Hoosier Jobs First

A plan that puts Indiana workers at the front of the line by supporting unions, apprenticeships, manufacturing, and small businesses.

  • We the People

Our government begins with the words We the People for a reason. Representation does not end on Election Day. Public comment is a right, not a privilege. Hoosiers deserve to be heard before decisions are made.

  • Lower Utility Costs

Abolishing the bureaucratic and billionaire-loyal Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) and ensuring that every rate increase is approved by voters at the ballot box.

  • Healthcare

The Better Indiana Health Plan lowers costs, protects rural hospitals, and ensures no Hoosier is one illness away from financial ruin.

  • Education

Our Indiana Constitution is clear: “No money shall be drawn from the treasury for the benefit of any religious or theological institution.” Yet school vouchers siphon public dollars into private religious schools. It’s time to end the fraud that is School Choice Vouchers.

What A Better Indiana Looks Like

A Better Indiana looks like a place where working people can get ahead, seniors can age with dignity, and families can afford a safe home without fear of sudden rent hikes or unexpected bills. It’s an Indiana where the rules are fair, the roads are safe, and no one has to choose between medicine and groceries.

It’s a state that puts Hoosiers first — not corporations, not political insiders, not the well-connected. A place where good jobs stay here, small towns aren’t forgotten, and every kid has a shot at a better future no matter their ZIP code.

A Better Indiana is built on the same values many of us were raised with: help your neighbor, do what’s right, show up when it counts. That’s the Indiana I believe in and it’s the one we can build, together.

Help Us Build A Better Indiana — Together

I grew up watching my mom work long hours, stretch every dollar, and still find the strength to help our neighbors when they needed it. She taught me that you show up for people even when life is hard. That lesson is at the heart of this campaign, and it’s why I believe so strongly in an Indiana where working families, renters, and seniors aren’t forgotten or pushed aside.

My faith reminds me that how we treat the least among us truly matters. That belief guides this movement and it’s why we refuse corporate and Super PAC money. This campaign belongs to Hoosiers, not special interests.

If you share this vision and want safer homes, better healthcare, fair wages, and a government that actually listens to the people who live here, now is the time to step in. Grassroots donations — whether it’s $5, $10, $20, or more — are what make it possible for us to knock doors, meet neighbors, print materials, and build A Better Indiana one conversation at a time.

A Better Indiana starts with all of us.
If you're able, please chip in today and help move this movement forward.
