Jack Chance Announces Intent to Run for Indiana House District 30

Jack Chance, a lifelong Hoosier and advocate for working families, has announced his intent to run for State Representative in Indiana House District 30. With deep roots in Tipton and now based in Kokomo, Chance is preparing a grassroots campaign centered on common-sense reforms and working-class values.

“This district deserves leadership that listens, serves, and stands up for regular people,” said Chance. “From rising rent to unaffordable healthcare, the people of District 30 are being stretched thin—and I believe it’s time for bold, local leadership that puts people first.”

Chance has spent the past several months meeting with community members, listening to concerns, and assembling a team of local supporters. He plans to begin his campaign with a private gathering of early supporters in July, followed by a public campaign kickoff in September at Highland Park.

His campaign platform—A Better Indiana—focuses on healthcare affordability, labor rights, tenant protections, infrastructure investment, and fair taxation. Chance is currently preparing to file the necessary paperwork as an independent candidate.

“I’ve seen what happens when politicians stop listening—when people are treated like a number instead of a neighbor,” Chance said. “That’s why I’m doing this. Not because it’s easy—but because someone needs to.”
